A cold front is still slated to move through early Saturday that will bring wind, snow and VERY cold temperatures to West Central Ohio. At first, this front will spread snow showers over the region late tonight that will last through the afternoon hours on Saturday. High temperatures on Saturday will top out in the low 20’s before really falling off into the late afternoon and evening. Notice in the graphic below by 2 or 3 PM temperatures will already be in the teens with scattered snow showers still hanging around.
I’m expecting around 1″ of snow accumulation on Saturday but it will probably be hard to measure because winds are expected to be howling here in West Central Ohio. Winds will likely be sustained from 20 to 30 miles per hour through the day with gusts potentially up to 40 miles per hour! That means any snow that falls on Saturday will be blowing around. Here is a look at the winds by Saturday evening.
Temperatures will also be in the single digits by Saturday evening too!
It’s that combination of winds and cold that will drop our wind chills Saturday evening into the 10 to 20 below zero range!
Temperatures will continue to drop Saturday night with lows into Sunday morning expected to be below zero! And even though the winds will die down a bit into Sunday morning, wind chills will continue to fall with the frigid temperatures. Here is a look at Sunday morning around 8 AM, wind chills will be in the 20 to 30 below zero range!
